My first taste of porridge... with carrots

Today is very exciting for mummy and me. Mummy decided that it's time for me to try some real food besides my milk. Should I start with baby cereal? Or let's go for homecooked porridge. My po po cooked me some porridge with carrots. Anyway, my mummy bought a packet of the cereal just in case.

First daddy put on my first bib, to catch "flying food", then pose for the camera. It's a big event for me!!! This is my porridge bowl.

First, I have to taste it. Let's do it "coki way". Look at it, smell it, lick it, then suck it? Mummy kept making me do the ahhhh... so I just follow her. Then she quickly stuff my little blue spoon into my mouth. Well, there were two things I did. First I suck on the spoon, then I boo boo the porridge out. Actually I sort of liked it, but I guess I have to learn how to swallow the stuff. After a while I was really going for the spoon like a shark. Yum yum!!!

This is what's left. I only managed to finish half a bowl. Not bad for a first timer. I dunno how much I have swallowed but I definitely love this game.

Jovann is six months old now!

Can't believe it. Jovann is already 6 months old today! He will play or lay quietly when he wakes up in the morning, till his breakfast time. His day begins when he sees po po. He will ask to be carried and will patrol the house one round, drink his milk and play his favourite game... bobbing around. Still mega kei po and wants to be part of whatever we do.

Jovann absolutely adores his daddy. Jovann would watch him do his stuff and start to make funny faces when he finally gets daddy's attention. Let him get hold of anything, he will put them in his mouth. We have a fair share of our hair getting pulled out by the incredible strong grip and pull. And his smiles... melt us every morning when he greets with his huge grin. hmmm... no wonder I'm always late for work... hehehe

How do we buy toys for him now? He loves the most unusual things other than his toys. Three options, a ball that makes soothing chiming sounds, elmo, and coki's biscuits container; he loves coki's good old not very attractive biscuits container (a recycled CNY goodies box). huh?? His latest favourite, yi yi's wedding magazine. He was literally reaching for the pages and of course tried to "taste" them as well. Anyways, I guess that's ok if he is happy with it. Toys out there are really expensive.

Happy six months old and be ready for the next injection...
